Dr. Hayley Glasson

Dr. Hayley Glasson, a dedicated Fellowed GP, has been providing perinatal care for women and babies in the Illawarra since 2015. She has obtained Diplomas in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Childhood Health, and is trained in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC, also known as the Possums programs). The NDC approach is an evidence-based, scientifically valid model which supports responsive, attachment-focussed care and deals with concerns surrounding feeding, sleep and mood.

Dr. Glasson’s purpose is to establish a safe haven for families seeking guidance, support and empowerment through the challenging early stages of parenthood that incorporates individual needs, resources, values and goals.

Consultations may cover:

  • Preparing for Bub (in late pregnancy)
  • Breastfeeding issues
  • Infant weight concerns
  • Infant sleep concerns (note NDC is not ‘sleep training’)
  • ’Unsettled’ infants/cry-fuss behaviour
  • Parent/infant bonding and attachment
  • Parental mental health- with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Relationship adjustments to parenthood
