Dr Elise Hickey – Endocrinologist

Dr Elise Hickey (MBBS, FRACP) is a local Endocrinologist with an interest in pregnancy care. At Amelie Private, she offers expertise in management of diabetes and other endocrine issues in pregnancy, such as thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and metabolic disorders, in addition to pre-pregnancy planning and weight management.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales, Elise completed basic physician training at RPA, then Endocrinology training across Canberra, Prince of Wales, Campbelltown and Wollongong hospitals. She undertook further subspecialty training and research in Obesity Medicine.

With a warm and empathetic approach, Elise is committed to providing evidence based, comprehensive and individualised care for her patients before, during and after their pregnancy.

Outside of working, Elise enjoys living in the Wollongong area with her husband and 2 young daughters. She revels in excellent coffee, and relaxes by very non-competitive swimming, preferably in the ocean.
